Hi, I’m Dean — a multi-disciplined freelance creative artworker/designer based in the West Midlands. I’ve been in the game for 20+ years, and for the last 14 I’ve been my own boss (turns out I’m a pretty reasonable one).
I love what I do, and along the way I’ve had the chance to work with some seriously talented people — and a few who just make a great brew.
With two decades under my belt, I’m well-versed in juggling multiple projects, thriving in fast-paced studio environments, and hitting tight deadlines without breaking a sweat. Give me a brief and I’ll hit the ground running, taking your project from concept to completion with minimal fuss and maximum care.
I’m big on the details — the kind most people don’t notice, but definitely miss if they’re wrong. I’ve got a solid understanding of artwork production and I’m fully set up to work remotely with all the latest tools. That said, I’m always happy to show up in person when needed (I do own real clothes, not just Zoom shirts).
When I’m not “colouring in,” I’m usually hanging out with my son — whether that’s a chilled film night or something a bit more active. I’m also into basketball, and you’ll often find me throwing myself into things like Deka, Hyrox, Deadly Dozen, or some questionably intense workout. Safe to say, I enjoy a challenge — in both work and life.
Tools of the trade: I’m fluent in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, XD, Figma, PowerPoint, Canva, Adobe Express and Keynote.
What I do: Design, creative artwork, rollout, retouching, web design, digital banners, interactive presentations, annual reports, brochures, catalogues, lookbooks, exhibition stands, social media content, websites, packaging… basically, if it needs to look good and work properly, I’ve got it covered.
